The Great Wall toboggan is how many private Beijing days end at Mutianyu: cable car or foot up, slide down. It is not a way onto the wall, not a separate attraction, and not something Badaling has. Rain, ice, and maintenance close the track. Check the park's notice that morning — it is the live rule.
You go up by cable car or on foot. The toboggan is the one-way descent. Badaling is a different section with a different crowd — it does not run this slide. How the Mutianyu day is timed is covered on the Mutianyu page.

Wet rail, ice, and maintenance stop the toboggan. Height rules and whether a child needs an adult in the same sled are the park's call that day. This page does not print a height table — park rules change. The backup is the same cable car down. A closed slide is not a lost wall morning; it is a slower exit.
On the published Beijing 3- and 4-day lines, Mutianyu is the morning and the Summer Palace is the afternoon. The toboggan is the last few minutes of the wall visit, not a third sight. If the track is closed, keep the palace — shorten the wall time and do not cancel the afternoon. Adding an hour the afternoon does not have, or canceling the palace as punishment for a closed slide, both make the day worse.
The four-day shape is the Beijing 4D3N module. Badaling as a default wall name is a different question: the Badaling page covers what that section offers and why it is not the default for a private day.
