Searching Dujiangyan panda base usually lands on the China Conservation and Research Center for the Giant Panda — the CCRCGP campus in Dujiangyan city. That campus has been closed for renovation since April 2026. The search result that most English-language articles still point to is not currently open.
The CCRCGP campus and Panda Valley are in different parts of the city, with different gates, different ticket systems, and no shared entry. They are two separate facilities run by two different organizations.
Panda Valley (also called Bifengxia Panda Base in Ya'an, sometimes grouped under the same travel day as Dujiangyan) is open. The CCRCGP Dujiangyan campus reopening is a wait-and-see.

The CCRCGP campus is a research and rescue center run by the national panda conservation program. Panda Valley is a separate breeding and display facility. Both show pandas. They do not show the same pandas, and they do not share tickets.
When the Dujiangyan campus reopens, the two sites will likely remain distinct — different locations, different organizations, different ticket windows.
The Chengdu city breeding base in the north of Chengdu is the most reliable panda option. Lines of 2–3 hours during peak season and 1–2 hours in shoulder season are normal. Booking a time slot in advance does not eliminate the queue — it determines when you enter the queue.

TravelToQin can book panda base time slots as part of a Chengdu or Dujiangyan itinerary and can switch the panda visit to Chengdu if the Dujiangyan campus stays closed. We cannot create a time slot that does not exist, or override the park's queue management on peak days. If the campus reopens, we can include it in the Dujiangyan day — but that decision belongs to the CCRCGP, not to us.
