Four days in Guilin fits three day blocks: Guilin city, Longji terraces, and Yangshuo with two nights. The temptation is to fold all three rivers into one day. They do not fit. The Li River cruise runs 4 hours, the Yulong River bamboo raft is a half-day, and Longji eats a full day on its own.
This page is for private ground. We do not run fixed departures. The four-night cut below assumes your party only.
The structure that works:
Two cities this page does not cover: Huangyao Ancient Town (too far for four nights) and Silver Cave (already a five-night add-on, see the Guilin five-night page).

Guilin city itself has two anchor sights: the Elephant Trunk Hill (the city's symbolic landmark, 30 to 45 minutes) and the Solitary Beauty Peak (more demanding, the old city wall climb). Most travelers spend a short morning on one or both before the cruise transfer.
The Li River cruise from Guilin to Yangshuo runs 4 hours on a passenger boat, or about 4.5 hours if a stop at the Nine Horse Fresco Hill is included. The boat lands at the Yangshuo wharf; West Street is a 15-minute walk from there.
West Street in the evening is the practical dinner stop. It functions as a tourist eating and shopping strip, not a heritage site. Budget 90 minutes for a meal circuit.
Do not stack the Li River cruise with the Yulong River raft on the same day. Both are full-day rivers in their own right; combining them means rushing both.

Longji (Dragon's Backbone) is a 1.5-hour drive from Yangshuo into the northern hills. The terraces themselves are walkable in three to four hours; the round trip including drive and a village lunch runs 8 to 9 hours door-to-door.
Two village options:
For most travelers, Ping'an is the right cut. Jinkeng fits if there is a half-day extra and the party is comfortable with longer uphill walking. Do not switch between villages in the same day — the walking routes do not connect.
The terraced fields are filled with water from late April through mid-June (the mirror-surface window) and turn golden in late September through October (the harvest window). Both seasons are worth the timing; the in-between months are quieter but less dramatic.
Return to Yangshuo by evening. Dinner back in town.

This day is two half-days. They cannot collapse into one.
Xianggong Hill (相公山): sunrise viewpoint over the Li River bend. The hill climb takes about 20 minutes from the parking lot. Departure from Yangshuo is around 5:00 a.m.; back at the hotel by 9:00 a.m. for breakfast and rest. The view is the reason to wake up early; the climb itself is short.
Yulong River bamboo raft (遇龙河竹筏): a traditional bamboo raft on the smaller tributary running south of Yangshuo. The standard route is the Jinlong Qiao (Golden Dragon Bridge) to Jiuxian (Old County) section, about 1.5 hours on the water. The raft is poled by a local operator; the section is calm. The afternoon slot works.
Do not stack the Xianggong Hill sunrise with the Longji Rice Terraces day. The sunrise departure time and the Longji drive to the terraces do not combine.

Yangshuo has two soft-morning options before the airport transfer:
Then transfer back to Guilin Liangjiang International Airport (KWL), about 1.5 hours by private vehicle. For most international flights this works as a half-day morning before the airport. For evening flights, the slow morning still applies.

Four nights does not unlock everything in the Guilin-Yangshuo area. Out of scope for this product:
For private trips we operate, the Li River cruise tickets, the Longji park entrance, the Yulong bamboo raft, and the private vehicle across Yangshuo and Guilin are coordinated by TravelToQin before the departure date. Cruise and bamboo raft operators enforce their own boarding rules and weather cancellations; we handle the planning around those, not the river conditions.
If the shape above fits, send your arrival date, party size, and a one-line answer on whether Longji Ping'an or Jinkeng matches your party's walking comfort through contact. The first reply confirms whether Longji belongs in the four-night cut, or whether it should drop off in favor of a deeper Yangshuo.
