Terracotta Warriors Tickets: Price, Booking Channels, and What the ¥120 Ticket Includes

Terracotta Warriors Tickets: Price, Booking Channels, and What the ¥120 Ticket Includes

Terracotta Warriors tickets are a booking problem before they are a sightseeing problem. The on-site window is not a backup plan. Foreign visitors need a real-name reservation, a matching passport, and a clear idea of what the ¥120 ticket actually covers.

This page is about price, channels, entry rules, and how to place the visit in Xi'an days. For pit order, photography, and how long to stay inside the halls, read Terracotta Army tour. For Shaanxi History Museum timing, use Shaanxi History Museum instead of mixing the two bookings.

What the ¥120 Ticket Includes

The Emperor Qinshihuang's Mausoleum Site Museum publishes a flat adult price of ¥120, with the same figure in peak and off-peak seasons. Student tickets are listed at ¥60 with valid student ID. Policy free-admission groups exist, but you still reserve through the official system.

That ¥120 combined ticket is usually valid for one day and covers both parks: the pit museum (Pits 1, 2, 3 and the relics hall) and Qin Shi Huang Mausoleum Archaeological Site Park, often called Lishan Garden. The shuttle between the two areas is included. Optional carts inside Lishan Garden are extra.

The common waste is buying a valid ticket, spending the whole morning in Pit 1, and never entering Lishan Garden. The bronze chariots now sit in that second park. If you only came for warriors in formation, say so in the brief so the day is not padded with a second site you will skip.

Treat the number as a published official price, not a forever quote. Confirm on bmy.com.cn close to travel.

Official Booking Channels for Foreign Visitors

All visitors, including foreign passport holders, must reserve in advance through official channels: the museum website, the official WeChat accounts, or the museum's ticket service. Third-party OTA pages can be convenient for foreign cards, but they are not a substitute for checking that the name, passport number, and date match the reservation.

WeChat mini-programs often assume a Chinese mobile number. If you cannot complete official checkout yourself, that is a logistics problem to solve before you fly, not at the first ticket gate.

Ignore sellers standing outside the gate with “skip the line” tickets. Fake museum names and screenshot QR codes are a known failure mode. If a price is far below ¥120, assume the risk sits with you at security.

How Far Ahead to Book

A working rule for private trips is to lock the date once Xi'an nights are fixed, then reserve as soon as the official window opens. Weekends, National Day, Labour Day, and Chinese New Year weeks sell faster. Shoulder-season weekdays are easier, but “we will buy tomorrow morning” is still a weak plan.

Capacity and release rules can change. Do not treat a blog's “book 7 days ahead” as a museum policy. Check the current window on the official site.

Passport, QR Code, and Time Slots

Entry is real-name. The passport used at the gate must match the booking. A hotel voucher, a photo of someone else's passport, or a WeChat name that does not match the travel document will fail.

Keep the QR code accessible offline. Paper printouts help if phone battery or a China SIM becomes the bottleneck. Arrive with buffer before the slot; security and the walk from coach parking are part of the morning, not extra.

If This Visit Is in a TravelToQin Itinerary

When the Terracotta Army is part of a private itinerary we plan, we handle the timed-entry reservation. You do not need to fight the official WeChat flow yourself. Opening hours, passport checks, remaining inventory, and security still belong to the museum. We cannot create extra tickets, skip inspection, or promise a specific pit will be empty. If a preferred slot is gone, we move the day block or use a backup instead of improvising at the door.

That booking help applies to trips we operate. It is not a DIY concierge promise for travelers who booked hotels elsewhere and only want a ticket screenshot.

Guides at the Gate vs a Planned Brief

Licensed commentary inside the site is useful if you want dynastic context without reading every label. People recruiting outside the gate are a different product: unclear credentials, shopping pressure, and no link to your hotel pickup.

A private Xi'an day should decide the guide before you leave the city, not in the bus parking lot.

Where the Warriors Sit in Xi'an Days

Give the pits and Lishan Garden a full morning plus transfer from central Xi'an. Do not stack Shaanxi History Museum, the city wall circuit, and a long Muslim Quarter dinner on the same afternoon unless the party is unusually fast.

On a Xi'an 4D3N shape, the warriors usually own one day; the wall and night market sit on another. Xi'an 5D4N can add Mount Hua as a separate physical day, not as a leftover after the pits.

Common Mistakes

  • Assuming tickets are sold at the door.
  • Booking under a nickname that does not match the passport.
  • Leaving Lishan Garden out after paying for it.
  • Pairing the pits with a museum that also needs its own timed slot.
  • Paying a stranger at the gate for a “VIP entrance.”

What Must Be Verified

Price, free-admission rules, opening days, shuttle operations, and ID requirements change through the museum's own channels. TravelToQin can place the warriors in a private Xi'an route, hold vehicle and guide time, and keep a backup block. We do not control museum inventory.

Send your Xi'an nights, party passports' issue countries, and whether Lishan Garden is a must through contact. A usable answer starts with a booked slot, not a pit map.
