Because a country tour is assembled from city modules, the sturdy first-trip limit inside two weeks is usually those three corridor cities.

• Beijing, four or five days — a palace day and a Mutianyu morning on separate dates, plus arrival. A published four-day private line is that density: airport night, then Tiananmen and the palace, then the wall and the Summer Palace.
• Xi'an, about four days — a city day (wall, museum, night street) and a warriors morning on its own morning.
• Shanghai, about three days — at least one full city day and a Bund night, not only a hotel near the airport.

Transfer days sit on the calendar as their own days. That package is the usual first country tour.

Extra names cost extra nights

Guilin or Zhangjiajie on a brochure is another nights bill. On a fixed two-week file it often trades a walking block for a checkout morning, a platform sprint with luggage, and an evening too tired to enjoy the karst. You are not buying scenery; you are buying transfer fatigue. Either you drop a corridor city or you add real days.
